Stuart de Haro has been
in the brass instrument repair business since 1996 and
started making his own custom Horns in 2005. He began his
musical studies at the age of eight
with the Violin. He later
took up percussion and Trumpet and finally found the Horn when he was thirteen.
He has a Bachelor’s degree in Horn Performance from the University
of Southern Mississippi where he studied with Dennis Behm.
Until recently, he was the Low Horn player in the Four
Hornsmen of the Apocalypse Horn Quartet, of which he was a founding
member.
As a Horn maker, he has studied in the shops of Daniel Rauch in Oslo,
Norway and Richard Seraphinoff in Bloomington, IN
and is also a Fellow of the Geyer Guild. He currently plays fourth
Horn with the Danville (IL) Symphony Orchestra.
