Amado Water Key
|
A water key can be placed anywhere condensation collects in the instrument,
space permitting.
The Amado keys are quite a bit cheaper, but they are also more high
maintenance. They should be treated
just like a valve and oiled periodically. Amado
keys are available in Brass or Silver-plated. Replacement parts are
available also. Just contact me.

Holton Water Key
|
A water key can be placed anywhere condensation collects in the instrument,
space permitting. This is the same
water key as found on Holton Horns and comes with a hole drilled in
the end so it may be operated with a string. Replacement springs are
available in the "Water Key Springs" section above.

Foldaway Hand Rest
|
This is a design that has been around for a while, having been used by Sansone, as well as variations by Rauch and Schmid. It is very nice in that it is soldered to the Horn on the inside curve of the bell across from the valve section, so there is no interference in putting the Horn in its case. It also rests in the soft part of the hand by the crook of the thumb, so it is more comfortable than those that sit on the knuckle. It fits well on most Geyer- and Kruspe-wrap Horns. It does NOT fit on the Paxman 20/25 because of the wrap of the tubing. The base is cylindrical with a setscrew coming out of the side. The rest itself is made of round rod with a cork pad and wraps around the mouthpipe. When it is not in use, the rest can be flipped around and concealed within the wrap of the Horn. |
