This is the damage done to the bell where it was bent 90 degrees to where it should have been.  I removed the bell since the damage had broken the joints at all three braces (one of which was lost by the client) and it was only held on by the solder joint at the valve section.  I had to anneal the bell at this spot since the damage had work hardened the brass.  Click on the pictures to enlarge them.
