Most Horns do not come with an independent Bb tuning slide. So, you might ask, how does one tune the Bb side of those Horns? It is very simple. Looking at the picture below, you will see the main tuning slide and the F tuning slide labeled. These are the only two slides you need for the job. The main tuning slide affects both sides of the instrument whereas the F slide only affects the F side.
Test the intonation of your instrument by playing 3rd space C, first on one side of the Horn, then the other. If your Bb side is sharp (compared to the F side), pull the main tuning slide to bring it down. This will also bring down the F side, so push in the F slide slightly to compensate. Do the exact opposite if your Bb side is flat. There you have it.
