What's New?

NEW November 5, 2007 - de Haro Horns has moved to new premises.  Our new address is 101 N. Coler Ave., Urbana IL, 61801, which is less than a mile from the University of Illinois music building.  Also, since I have moved, my sales tax rate for customers within Illinois has changed to 7.75%.  As always, sales tax is only charged on merchandise, not services.

I have added some new products to my Online Store.  In the Maintenance Products, Parts, Accessories section, I now have oil bottles with needles that you can fill with the oil of your choice for only $4.00, and valve casing brushes for cleaning the inside of piston and rotor casings for $1.60 each.  Also new to the store is the Fat Cat valve oil and slide grease, which are really excellent lubricants.  Only $4.25 and $3.50 respectively.  I have also started stocking rotor stop in 5mm diameter for Yamaha, Schmid, and Hoyer Horns as well as cork rotor stop.  Last but certainly not least, I now carry replacement screws for Engelbert Schmid Horns. As always, you can buy anything in the Online Store direct from the web with your Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or E-Check via my Paypal shopping cart.  Please note:  I only take credit cards through Paypal.  I do not have a merchant account of my own so I cannot take credit card orders over the phone.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

I've just added pictures of a High F Horn that I made out of an Olds Bb and a Conn Mellophone to my Photo Gallery page, as well as pictures of the installation of a Nickel Silver garland.

I have added a page about Alexander Screwbell Ring Compatibility to my Tutorials section.  I also have pages for stringing rotary valves, tuning a Horn with no Bb slide, and an explanation of the harmonic series.  More to come.
